Professional activities

Professional activities of an Alumni MBA Radovljica Associations are aimed at developing its members' intellectual and social networking capital. They are formed with respect to life-long-learning and knowledge spill-over across different generations. Moreover, we put a great emphasis on business ethics and sustainable development.

The professional activities that Alumni is carrying are:

Mentorship Programme

A mentorship programme enables the current IMB students to meet the past IMB students, who now held responsible work positions in international and Slovene companies or academic world. After defining individual student's career interest, a mentor is assigned to them based on their ambitions. They get the contact information and arrange the introductory meeting. Afterwards, it is up to the students and their mentors. Many employment possibilities, professional collaborations and friendships have been raised from the mentorship programme.

Company visits

Alumni MBA Radovljica organizes visits to well known Slovenian companies. So far we have visited Akrapovič (world famous motorcycle exhaust system producer), Seeway, Krka and Pivovarna Union (large Slovenian brewery). There is at least one company tour organized per year and Alumni MBA Radovljica members are always warmly welcomed by the CEO Company's top management.

Discussion and roundtables

Significant knowledge spill over is created during discussions and round table in which Alumni MBA Radovljica members interact with leading business experts from academic and business world. Among distinguished guests were present Klaus Schuster, the expert in the field of management and leadership, former CEO of Mercator and Manager of the Year 2002, Mr. Zoran Jankovic and a world known marketing guru Laskhman Krishnamurthi, PhD. from the Kellogg School.

Professional networking and recruitment opportunities

Besides mingling at the events, Alumni MBA Radovljica has systemized its social capital in an internal data management. When recruiting, Alumni MBA Radovljica members tend to rely on the quality of an IMB study programme, they have experienced themselves and feel confident to recruit an ex- IMB student, who is also an Alumni MBA Radovljica member. Our members are granted the access in our restricted web environment, when they can get data they need for their recruitment. Additionally, direct requests are addressed to Alumni members to suggest the best candidate for an employment position.
