The IMB Programme at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana is the leading and the most intensive full-time master's programme in this part of Europe. It compares favourably with the best programmes of its kind in the world. The main idea underpinning this programme encompasses the matching of insights from both Slovenian and international faculties, the wide range of teaching methods involving interactive activities and a case-study approach. More than fifty faculties are involved in running the programme. The faculty members are also recruited from top managers in Slovenia and abroad. The programme focuses on developing students' analytical skills. During the course of their study students carry out different projects dealing with problems of actual organizations using various analytical techniques.
Project outcomes are then presented to managerial teams of these organizations and at the traditional Portorož Business conference. In addition, the programme encourages networking with international partner schools, organizations and institutions in Europe and the US. The programme concludes with a study trip aimed at providing students with insights into environments, organizations and institutions that may have been the topic of their prior research. Our key intention is to facilitate better networking with European business schools, organizations and institutions.
