IMB graduates employability survey results

For the purposes of international ranking requirements and our programme promotion, we conducted an employability survey this month. Four generations (XV.- XVIII.) were asked to will the questionnaire. With the 70,5% respond rate, the results suggest that 73,4% of IMB students found a job in no more than 3 months after finishing the programme. Meanwhile, 51% of respondents found job before defending a master thesis.

Survey results suggest that 29% of respondents found a job outside Slovenia. Many of them also found a job in well-established Slovenian companies (Mercator, Gorenje, Studio Moderna, Abanka, Kolektor, NLB, Lek and others) (25%), 9% of respondents works in public sector and 4% of them established their own companies. The current trends suggest the increase in self-employment tendencies and working overseas.

The most common job market entering positions that respondents obtained are jobs that require analytical skills such as financial analyst, risk analysis, market researcher, and business planning analyst (37%). In the future, we will make further efforts to help developing analytical skills through the IMB programme curriculum. Alternatively 26% of the respondents occupied lower and middle management positions at the beginning of their careers (such as project manager, controlling assistant, key account manager, junior specialist at strategic HR and Corporate Culture, assistant brand manager) (26%).

We were delighted to realize that survey results suggest that 85% of respondents believed that being engaged in the programme helped the get a job either directly (interview invitations, mentorship programme, recommendations) or indirectly (social network, good reputation of the programme, indirect recommendations). Analysis showed that 92% or the respondents would recommend the IMB programme for its graduates' high employability rate and employability support offered at the programme.
